Meet Mr. Weidman

Me & my beautiful wife on the white sands of Pensacola, Florida

August 2009

I grew up in rural Northcentral Pennsylvania in a small country town with my two younger brothers playing little league and basketball. I attended a private Christian academy until I was in 5th grade and then my folks began homeschooling us. I really enjoyed my studies at home and appreciate the dedication my dad and mom had in seeing to it that we received a quality education.

Three Stooges

I am the oldest of three; Here are by two brothers Nick and Neil.

When I was 14 years old, my family moved north to New York because my dad worked as a prison officer in many different NY State prisons. We moved in the summer of 1996. I met my wife that same year as we joined a new local church and I began to get involved in the local youth group. Holly and I were best friends throughout our High School years together.

Highschool Sweethearts

August 1997: Nathan (age 16) & Holly (age 17)

After High School, I attended Tompkins Cortland Community College and completed my degree in Information Systems in 2002. I worked an internship at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, as well as worked freelance as a small business website developer.

Then I attended Pensacola Christian College, Pensacola, Florida, to complete my B.S. in Computer Science with a minor in E-Business. However, little did I know that my path would end up taking a dramatic turn.

While pursuing my technology degree, I became increasingly burdened to invest my skills and time in something more meaningful and valuable than computers and business. While I have always had a keen interest in these disciplines, I began to be more interested in the sciences of philosophy, theology, and the humanities. In my senior year of college, I felt led to change focus to a ministerial program and complete my studies to become a pastor of a Christian church. I have never regretted that decision.

I currently am the Assistant/Youth Pastor at Cross & Crown Baptist Church in Clarksville, Tennessee. I enjoy working with people from all walks of life and varying backgrounds. I enjoy most of all sharing with them the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I find great satisfaction and fulfillment from my work as a minister. In addition to preaching and teaching, I oversee the church website, media ministry, and Bible Institute operated out of my church.

Here’s Trouble!

My wife has two cats, Zorro & Teddy. I personally have a sort of love/hate relationship with them. They love me and I hate them. They are kinda cute though. They are our only “kids” at the moment.
