Students, this is a courtesy reminder to you to advise you to please schedule your personal appointments during a time that will not conflict with our class times. Over the last few weeks, I have had at least a dozen students miss important classes (quizzes and exams) due to doctors appointments which seemed to me to be easily (re)scheduled around classes. This is detrimental to your performance in these classes and often there is a way to better schedule your doctor’s visits.
And also, thank you to those who have let me know that they would be late/missing class in advance. This helps me to know that you are trying to be successful in the course. Otherwise, it appears that you do not take your class work seriously.
